We suggest that if you cannot decide between supervisors that you arrange to have a chat with those you like the look of to assist your decision. For an initial discussion please contact supervisors directly using the details that they have provided.

I have worked in the legal sector since 1981 and specialised in family law since 1992, subsequently becoming a Resolution accredited specialist.

I am passionate about supervision as I wish that this had been available (and that my employers would have been willing and enlightened enough to provide it) throughout my career, which, like the majority of careers has had its ups and downs and days where I have not known where to turn, either to offload or at times even celebrate safely. I do now have regular supervision.

I have worked for all types of clients from those eligible for legal aid to multi-millionaires and everything in between, both in financial and children matters. I have worked in small firms to being an equity partner in a multi office practice in the South East so chances are that I will have experienced something akin to what you may be going through or wish to discuss. Family lawyers juggle so many emotional balls – those of clients, colleagues, possibly children and extended family – not to mention their own home lives.

By choosing to participate in supervision – or more accurately reflective practice – you will be offered a confidential, safe, non-judgmental space, either face to face or remotely, where I will be a listening ear, sounding board and/or mentor as required.

I have always championed non litigious ways of working and because of this, I am a mediator and collaborative lawyer. Even in non-confrontational arenas, supervision will enhance both your work practices and emotional health.
